Founding Partner of Apeiron Ventures ♾️ and a founding figure of the Greek startup and tech ecosystem. Dimitris launched TEDxAthens in 2009 — with more than 450 world-renowned speakers and a cumulative viewership of 18 million views — and later co-founded Found.ation, Greece's first accelerator and incubator, both of which played a defining role in shaping Greece's entrepreneurial landscape.
He has served on the boards of Instacar, Finloup, and MyJobNow (acquired by Skroutz), and is the Co-Founder and Non-Executive Director of SocialInnov, an NGO advancing digital skills in Greece. In 2018, he made his first step into venture capital by launching Velocity.Partners, his debut fund.
Today, as Founding Partner of Apeiron Ventures, he backs ambitious founders building category-defining companies with strong values at their core, with a particular focus on enterprise software, security, and defense. He is also the Founder of WIRED Greece, launching April 2026 as the country's definitive voice on technology, culture, and the future.
Dimitris holds an LLB from the University of Kent and an LLM in Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary, University of London. He is a two-time alumnus of the U.S. Department of State's IVLP program — and the only Greek to have received this distinction to date.
